Queer Spaces for LGBTQ friends2.13.0 - App Store

Spaces is a group chat-based platform for queer people to connect over topics they are passionate about, discover new interests, schedule meetups and hang out. At its core, Spaces is built around community-building — fun, engaging, and free-flowing conversations with like-minded, LGBTQ+ people, who are tired of being harassed on other, more heteronormative, social media platforms.

Each Space on the app is a micro-community for a specific slice of the LGBTQ+ community — from gaymers, runners, and drag lovers to queer Star Wars fans and yoga practitioners. Spaces creators become Hosts, who hold the power to bring other queer people together through shared interests, places, and events. Users can readily find and join the communities that matter to them.

But Spaces isn't just about joining pre-existing communities. Rather, the platform is built specifically to empower Spaces Hosts — everyday people turned into super-users by the powerful community tools loaded into the platform. Spaces invites all LGBTQ+ folks to join a fun, lively (and troll-free) environment.

With our latest release, we’ve made navigating through the app a more enjoyable experience with the addition of new carousels on the home screen to help connect you to spaces based on your interests. Also, finding sub-chats within a space has never been easier with a brand new entrance point.

In addition to fixing bugs and BTS performance improvements on Spaces, we continue to make small updates to better maintain a safe space for all LGBTQ+ users.
